The Amazing Race returned Sept. 26 and we got to chat with the first team eliminated, BFFs Ron Kellum & Tony Stovall.

Ron Kellum and Tony Stovall had a pretty good start to their Amazing Race. They were the first to arrive on the initial airplane to England, and for a while they looked like the team to beat. Unfortunately, everything went south once they got to London. They missed their exit and never made it to their destination, Stonehenge! “Unfortunately, we were in rush hour traffic in London and went 25 miles the wrong way” Ron tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

“Unlike here, where you can go on the overpass to turn around, there you have to go through little cities and towns to get back – so we literally went 50 miles the wrong way.”

Still, the guys say they have no regrets.

“It was the opportunity of a lifetime,” Ron tells us. “It was really disappointing being eliminated first, but we still walked away feeling really great and that we played our best. We still had a really great experience. The Amazing Race was one of those bucket-list wishes.”

Ron and Tony’s brief stint on the show was also a great learning experience. They learned their 22-year-long friendship can pretty much last through anything.

“We learned that we can both be gracious under pressure, and that we can remain calm and respectful of each other,” Ron says. “That was our number one goal in doing this, that our friendship was first and foremost. We won’t compromise that no matter what.”

Unfortunately, the guys couldn’t give any hint as to which lucky team will walk away win the big prize this season. They’ll just have to watch along with the rest of us!
