It may look like fun, but former contestants on the hit show say that ‘Dancing’ has led to major injuries, lots of tears, and some very violent behavior from angry cast members!
Over 20 million viewers may tune in to happily watch Dancing with the Stars every week, but behind the scenes it is a whole other story! Brooke Burns, the winner of season 7, told the New York Post, “We’ve seen rage and anger after getting crushed by the judges. Walls get punched. People break down into tears and rip mikes off, push the cameras away — it’s pretty human.” Yikes!
If that’s not enough, there is also the physical pain, which affected even the incredibly in shape Gilles Marini! “You feel like you’re cracking in pieces. You have this adrenaline rush and all this stuff to learn,” the hunk explained. “Everything shifts in the middle of the season. It just gets darker mentally.”
There are, of course, also the numerous hookups that come about every season. “”There’s a bunch of juicy stuff, but I can’t talk about that. It’s like summer camp — you’re spending a lot of time with people,” says Joey Lawrence. As the Post points out Joey, “was around for one of the first Dancing with the Stars love matches. TV host [Mario] Lopez, now working for Extra!, was clearly smitten with his pro, the seductive Karina Smirnoff, and the two played up their courtship for the cameras. When things soured, Smirnoff moved on to fellow Ukrainian Maxim Chmerkovskiy and dated him for a season.”
So HollywoodLifers, who do we think will be this season’s hot hookup?
