The much respected Hollywood director and producer, who directed Lindsay in ‘Georgia Rule,’ says he would definitely hire her again — if she gets her act together!
Lindsay Lohan‘s chances at any sort of career comeback are looking somewhat brighter today as director Garry Marshall says he would be willing to work with the actress again. When asked if he would hire the oft troubled startlet, Garry told HollywoodLife.com, “Yes I would but I think she’s got to get herself straightened out. I’m a father so I look at her as a daughter and I really hope she gets it together. She’s got too good a gift to throw away by running around.”
Garry, who was supporting Operation Smile at their Sept. 24 gala in Beverly Hills, also said that working with Lindsay on Georgia Rule was a somewhat mixed experience. “She was great, we had a good picture,” he says, before addressing her problems on set. “She was getting into trouble. And she’s still in some trouble and I hope she gets out.”
Lindsay’s work on Rule, which also starred Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda, was marred over reports of absences from filming and frequent tardiness, both of which lead to studio executive James G. Robinson releasing an open letter calling the star “irresponsible and unprofessional.” He went on to say, “we are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called ‘exhaustion’.”
How do you feel about this news HollywoodLifers? Is Gary smart to give Lindsay a second chance or is he being foolish?
