Lindsay Lohan was sent back to jail for 28 days after failing two drug tests, but two industry insiders tell HollywoodLife.com that she’ll be welcome back with open arms when she’s finally ready.
Hollywood is a forgiving place (hello, king of the world, Robert Downey Jr.) and Lindsay Lohan is no exception. Even though she’s been put behind bars for the next 28 days after totally failing two drug tests for traces of cocaine and amphetamines, entertainment industry experts tell us that there’s still hope for the 24-year-old actress’ career!
“Lindsay just has to get healthy. This jail time is tough, but I think it will only do her good,” Lauren Lloyd — producer and casting director of more than 60 films and creator of BigIsGood.TV — says.
“When she’s healthy and she’s ready to get back to work, we’ll be ready for her.”
A feature film director (who prefers to go unnamed) agrees that Lindsay has the raw talent necessary to make it in Hollywood, but reiterates that she’s still seen as a liability on any film set.
“I still wouldn’t want to be the first person to hire her for a film, I’d rather let her prove herself on somebody else’s dime,” the insider declares, adding, “That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see her show up as a guest star on a show, like Britney Spears did on How I Met Your Mother. That’d be a lower risk job than a film…but for now I’d take a wait-and-see approach before hiring her.”
Lindsay needs to put her best foot forward to start getting hired again and both act and dress like an adult to prove herself – something celebrity image expert Michael Sands says she failed to do during her Sept. 24 court appearance!
“She’s very provocative,” he says. “It’s very disrespectful for the court. I’m sure for all the young people who are watching her will think it’s very camp, or en vogue. However, the judge wasn’t impressed, and I can’t imagine Hollywood executives were either.”
Lindsay will find out whether or not she’s doing more jail and/or rehab time when she returns to court for her Oct. 22 sentencing.
Do YOU think she’ll be ready to make her Hollywood comeback by that time?
