EXCLUSIVE! Nikki Reed Is Over Acting — Check Out Her New Career Plans!

At least we’ll be seeing Nikki in the final two Twilight films, Breaking Dawn parts 1 & 2, because she’s ready to take her career BEHIND the camera!

“Lovable” isn’t exactly the word we’d use to describe Nikki Reed as bitter Twilight vampire Rosalie Hale, but still, she’s a member of the Cullen clan, and we’d miss her if she were gone. Unfortunately, it sounds like the starlet is ready to take a hiatus from the big screen and go behind-the-scenes in the movie biz!

“I directed a music video a few months ago, which was really awesome, and is a direction I want to move in,” the 22-year-old starlet told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the LA premiere of her new film, Last Day of Summer, Sept.22. “[I want to do more] directing, producing – just creating. I feel like this industry has so much to offer and at times it’s so easy to just get stuck in one category and, to be honest, that category is really full right now.”

It’s true that there’s a lot of competition from fellow talented starlets like her Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, Wall Street 2‘s Carey Mulligan and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo‘s Rooney Mara, all of whom have consistently scored major roles. “There are a lot of young actresses out there right now,” Nikki shrugged. “We’re in a confusing time right now because reality television has changed the industry, and models are becoming actors. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I just feel like at this point in time, I’d rather step into a field where there’s more room for me to be an individual as opposed to being eaten alive in a world filled with so much competition.”

We think Nikki is a fabulous actress, and we’d love to see her continue to act on the big screen, but we’re with her: Hollywood is a dog eat dog world! Do you think she should quit acting or man up and keep trying for those coveted roles?

Lolling at “man up” she is so like a drag queen. Nikki throws the word “creativity” around a lot. When in a recent interview she said that she was “into photography” The host then asked her who her fave photographers were and she couldn’t name one. She has not got a clue. Tries way too hard. I think she needs to get some breast implants and do something a little more her (trashy). She is tryimg to be taken serioudly and she never will be.

Yeah look at all those young actresses
Kristen Stewart, Mia Waskikowska, Rooney Mara, Evan Rachel Wood, Ellen Page, Olivia Thirlby

I hope they all have wonderful careers and sometimes I fear talented people like Nikki might get unlucky

Wow…what a smart babe she is :)

I agree. I just like her so much . I love watching her act, she just has something about her. I think she’ll do well with whatever she picks.
