The provocative singer taped a segment for the kids TV show that was set to air New Year’s Eve, but after a slew of complaints from parents, the clip will be shelved.
C is for cleavage, well, at least in Katy Perry‘s case. The brunette stunner sang an adaptation of her hit “Hot N Cold” in a pre-taped segment for Sesame Street but, according to TMZ, it will never make it to air — because of Katie’s revealing outfit.
After Katy shot the clip, it made its way to YouTube, getting more than a million views in just three days. But some parents were offended by the 25-year-old’s low-cut Giles Deacon dress, and began leaving angry comments beneath the video — prompting producers to ban the performance from the show. But don’t worry you can still see the video! Katy tweeted, “Wow, looks like my play date with Elmo has been cut short! If you still wanna play see it at www.katyperry.com Tag you’re it, Elmo!”
Who would have thought a cute little video with Katy and Elmo could turn into this? Do you think Katy’s outfit was too revealing for Sesame Street?
Check out some of the comments that got the video banned:
“You can practically see her t*ts. That’s some wonderful children’s programming.”
“They’re gonna have to rename it Cleavage Avenue”
“My kid wants milk now”
