Don’t worry BFFs! It’s not what you think! Portia took Ellen’s last name – she’s Portia DeGeneres now!
Don’t worry, HollywoodLifers – this is one Hollywood romance that has a happy ending (unlike all that drama with Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore). Not only is Ellen DeGeneres still married to her wife of over two years, Portia de Rossi, but now Portia, 37, has legally taken Ellen’s last name!
Ellen, 52 poked fun at the exciting news via her Twitter account joking, “I just got some amazing news. The court has granted Portia’s name change. She’s now officially Portia Winfrey.”
Portia filed a decree to change her name with the Los Angeles Superior Court on August 6 2010 and was finally granted the change today, Sept. 23.
Congratulations to the two Mrs. DeGenereses!
