Is this an age-appropriate activity? Should Ethan really be teaching his 8-year-old son Levon how to play poker?
We wonder what mama Uma Thurman think about this. Her ex-hubby Ethan Hawke is teaching their 8-year-old son Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke how to gamble! “I already taught him [how to play poker],” Ethan told HollyBaby.com exclusively at the Labyrinth Theater Company’s Poker LAB Benefit sponsored by Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa at the Soho House in NYC on Sept. 19.
“We have versions of Blackjack [that we play as well],” Ethan continued. “Blackjack is easy.”
And Ethan has a major goal of teaching Levon the tricks of the trade. “He better be good,” he bluntly stated, before admitting, “I just want to have fun all the time [with my kids]. That’s my problem.”
The other question is, would Ethan want to gamble at having more kids? “I don’t know … I have three kids so far. That’s a lot,” he replied. (In addition to Levon, Ethan also has a 12-year-old daughter, Maya, with Uma and a daughter Clementine, 2, from his current marriage to his and Uma’s former nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.)
Now HollyMoms, what do you think? Is Levon too young to be learning how to gamble? Vote below!

Absolutely! I actuadally think our sociadety encouradages us, and coradpoadraadtions, to ratioadnaladize inseatd of accept responadsiadbiladity for one’s actions. James, and too many othaders, refuse to see that they had tons of choices and simadply chose so very, verya0wrong.I hate cheatading, it leaves scars for the vicadtim (woman or man) long after it’s been exposed. To those of you who cheat, fess up. To those of you who are thinkading of cheatading, get out of your relationship/marriage inseatd! Thanks again for a thoughtadful and thought-provoking post.
