'Teen Mom' Preview! Do YOU Think Maci Is Selfish For Moving Bentley Away? Ryan Sure Does — Vote Now!

Maci wants to be closer to her new boyfriend, Kyle — but is it unfair of her to tear baby Bentley away from his dad, Ryan?

All right, Teen Mom fans, let’s talk about this. On tonight’s all-new episode, Maci tells Ryan flat-out that she’s moving to Nashville with Bentley – and he’s NOT happy about it. He calls her “selfish” for putting her own desires ahead of their baby’s well-being, and I can’t help but agree with him… to an extent. She is tearing Bentley away from his grandparents and the only home he’s ever known just so she can have a fresh start with Kyle, but at the same time, is it a good idea to keep him around Ryan? He isn’t the best influence, and it’s only recently that he even started showing any interest in his son.

I think I’ll need to see the Sept. 21 episode of Teen Mom before I can make any official decisions. What do YOU think?

If it werent for Ryans parents he would have never even went to the attorneys office, his mom told him to go. He wouldnt have done that on his own. Maci did the right thing. Ryan needs to get a job. I am sure Maci will drive Bentley to Ryans house every other weekend, like she was driving back and forth to see Kyle when she didnt live in Nashville.

Would you ask this same question of a 35 year old divorced mom? Why is it selfish for Maci to move on with her life and pursue her own happiness? Isn’t that ultimately what is best for the child? She is moving to pursue further education and a relationship with a man whom she loves and who loves her back. Two hours isn’t moving to the moon. If the baby daddy wants a relationship with his son he should mature and realize that compromises can be made. I know of families that work with parents living in different states across the country – with the kids flying home for visitation.

Maci is just showing how immature she really is. Moving yourself and your kid away from family because you want to be with some guy is the dumbest and most selfish thing you can do. And to deny Ryan one more day a week with Bentley is just ridiculous. Whether she likes it or not, Ryan is Bentley’s dad and deserves just as much time with him as she does. I’m sorry if he wasn’t very helpful before but he’s making an effort now and it wasn’t like he didn’t want anything to do with Bentley in the beginning, I mean he was always there. Maci needs to wake up, your an adult now so lets be mature and act like one.

you’re wrong, Ryan is only trying to be more active in Bentley’s life because of his girlfriend, she accepts that he has a kid and if he wasnt so active he might think that the new woman would leave him and realize he is a low life.. Of course if she watched season 1 she would know that.

For some reason, Maci has consistently been the “fave” but as a former teen mom myself (and now mom to 2 grown kids) it sure looks like she suffers from a case of serious immaturity. And if you recall, before Kyle came along, she wanted to plan her wedding to Ryan but he (responsibly) put on the brakes. Meanwhile she NAGGED him relentlessly about their wedding (Season One). Three months later, she gets together with Kyle and now “He’s The ONE” and she says stuff to him & others like “it could work”. What does that mean — “marriage”?? Oh, please. Maci, just because you had a child doesn’t automatically mean you get married. And by the way, Ryan is a great guy who loves Bentley — turn the situation around, little lady. He has rights, his family is heartbroken by your actions, and so are your parents.. your mom cried as you left for Nashville. Can’t you work WITH people? You are manipulative, you ALWAYS want your way and you will use Bentley just to hurt the people who care about you the most. P.S. I think Kyle is just your yes-man, because he sure seems trapped on MTV. Let yourself go, Kyle!!

Thanks for having the guts to say this — I feel the same way! Don’t get me wrong, I think Maci’s a smart and capable young woman and that Ryan has proven to be a jackass at times, but that adorable little guy named Bentley needs both of his parents and sets of grandparents in his life! It’s a selfish move to uproot Bentley to try out a couple-month-old relationship. She’s way too young to be pushing marriage and being a family on a guy so soon. Kyle seems to like her a lot, they seem to get on well and he digs Bentley, but she could be pushing things too soon and that could spell disaster. She already was going to school back at home and nobody was keeping her from doing that. Having to start over at another school, find another job and more day care and babysitters other than what she had back at home is only making things more difficult. Now on top of that, both sets of grandparents have to travel 2 hours up and back to see or watch him? Makes no sense! She moved knowing that legally she wouldn’t be able to move her son away from his father, but there she goes, signing a lease anyway! Why couldn’t she move an hour away and meet Kyle halfway? That would have made more sense. Kyle comes first, I guess, who, by the way looks like he’s getting pushed into something too soon for his comfort.

She didn’t want to get married. She didn’t say nothing about getting married! Ryan has some SERIOUS issues and needs to get his life together. Maybe she was in love with him, but that was the past. There is a difference.

Maci is doing what is best for Bentley by doing what’s best for her. I wish there were more women like her in the world. She doesn’t sit on her ass waiting for her life to change, she is actually doing something about it. Maci you are my hero.

If Ryan is so horrible, then she shouldn’t have been with him to begin with, but what’s done is done. Once you have a child with someone, you have to deal with them for the rest of your life. She should not uproot her son from his entire family and the only home he’s ever known to be with a boyfriend. She’s having to find a new job, transfer schools, and find child care. If this relationship is so serious, why can’t Kyle move? She’s making a mistake and only thinking about herself.

I think she should stay where she is as her family and Ryan’s family are close by. An hour and a half drive is crazy for Ryan to drive to see his son just because she wants to be close to a “boyfriend”. The child should come first. Ryan may have not been so great in the beginning, but he’s trying now.

Agreed. The people responding that maci did the right thing likely does not have children and are romanticizing this happily ever after for Maci wig Kyle. A mature woman wouldn’t do that and a mature man would have seen the responsibility maci had with bentley and would have moved or accommodated for his lady. Chances are that Kyle would not have uprooted his life to move to Chatanooga for Maci and he doesn’t even have a child but the romantics on here are too blind to see that Maci did something for Kyle that he never would have done to be with her.
