Not just the President, but also several other celebs make sure to spend some quality religious time with their kids. Do you think it’s a good thing?
While a lot of people are spending their time on weekends resting and relaxing, millions of others spend it getting closer to God, and President Barack Obama is no exception. The President and first lady Michelle Obama, for instance, spent Sunday morning at the Episocopal Church St. Johns in Washington, D.C., with daughters Sasha and Malia.
They weren’t the only ones getting their church on last weekend (during which Jews celebrated Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year), as devout Catholic Mark Wahlberg and wife Rhea Durham took their four kids to services.
Also among the Hollywood crowd, Reese Witherspoon is a regular attendee. She told People in February 2009, “[Church] takes you out of your personal experience and universalizes it. You understand that whatever you’re dealing with, someone in that room has either dealt with the same thing or will in the future. We are all struggling to figure out what life is about. We are all just looking for answers.”
