Bryan Masche was arrested on domestic violence charges on Sept. 11 but his family in Arizona tells Hollybaby.com that there’s more to the story. Meanwhile fans of the show are split between slamming and defending him.
Bryan Masche, 32, the star of Raising Sextuplets on WE, might have been arrested on domestic violence charges Sept. 11, but his family claims that he was arrested without cause. Hollybaby.com spoke to the reality star’s mother, Laura Masche today (Sept. 21) and she very emotionally revealed that “the truth will come out.”
Laura, told us that “domestic violence in the state of Arizona is different from anywhere else,” and added, “As his mom, I would hope the public would respect the family’s privacy. We love Jenny, Bryan and we love our grandchildren … the family needs a lot of privacy.”
According to reports, it all started when Bryan was arrested in Camp Verde, Az., after having an argument with his wife, Jennifer. The couple were reportedly fighting over whether to take their six 3-year-old children to Phoenix, or Lake Havasu City (where Bryan’s parents live). The police report states that “Dispatch advised that the incident was verbal at the time, however the suspect … was becoming more aggressive, and that there were firearms in a vehicle.”
After being arrested by the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office, Bryan was detained at the Yavapai County Detention Center and was eventually released on $3,500 bail. He’s expected back in court Oct. 7 for a pre-trail conference.
While WE TV, which broadcasts the reality show, responded to HollyBaby’s call with a statement that they “would not be commenting at this time,” fans reacted immediately to news of Bryan’s arrest, but their reactions were mixed.
“I’m sad for Jenny and the kids but not at all surprised,” said Nancy Bliss-Kelley on Raising Sextuplets Facebook fan page. “I’ve disliked Bryan from the beginning. Jenny could have done much better. She is a sweetheart.”
“Unfortunately this comes as no surprise,” wrote Kim Corpora. “Jenny, I said this before and I’ll say it again … kick his sorry ass to the curb.”
“I agree, I saw Red flags too,” posted another fan, Ellen Miller Robertson. “Jenny always seemed to be walking on eggshells.”
But other defended Bryan. Christina Castro Morrow wrote, “Give the guy a break we all have our issues. Some people just can’t hide them as well as others.”
Either way, we just hope those six adorable children are doing OK and we hope the Masche family can get through this troubling time.
