Her first dance reduced judge Carrie Ann Inaba to tears!

While the song choice was a cheap tearjerker — she danced to “These Arms Of Mine” from Dirty DancingJennifer Grey, 50, was really the only celebrity who wowed the judges on the Sept. 20 season premiere of Dancing with the Stars. The moving performance earned Jennifer and partner Derek Hough the highest score of the night (24 points) and I only see them getting better from here.

But while Jennifer and Derek were sitting pretty on the top spot, poor Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino tied for last place with David Hasselhoff and Margaret Cho! While his dance was hardly as good as Jennifer’s, I do think the judges were a little harsh on him. For the first time ever, I’m actually finding “The Situation” to be a likable human being — judges, don’t take that away from me!

And lastly, I have to admit I was kind of keeping my fingers crossed that Bristol Palin would be a hot mess on the dance floor — but she actually performed pretty well. She wasn’t the best, but she managed to make it through her routine without making any mistakes AND without being totally stiff like Kate Gosselin.
