Russell is arrested in LAX for striking a paparazzo as his girlfriend Katy tweets, ‘try and put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me!’
Funnyman Russell Brand was in hot water at Los Angeles International Airport Sept. 17 as he was arrested for pushing and striking photographers trying to photograph him and fiancee Katy Perry! 35-year old Russell and Katy, 24, were on their way to Las Vegas when the incident happened but never did board their flight. Katy tweeted afterwards, “If you cross the line & try and put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don’tf***withtheBrands.” He was released on $20,000 bail shortly after.
Russell is now to set to appear in court on October 15 due to the incident.
Oddly, it was not the police but a paparazzo who put Brand under citizen’s arrest for the incident.
