Don’t worry — it’s an easy, fun ballerina bun!
Jessica Simpson, 30, was all over NYC this past week attending Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week events at Lincoln Center, and she stepped out Sept. 15 with a fabulously high bun. We’ve been seeing buns all over the runway — but Jess brought it from the runway to reality! The bun even held throughout the evening when she was at Macy’s “Find Your Magic” campaign event, and it didn’t even look stiff. We asked celebrity stylist Luca Blandi for tips on how to get this awesomely easy updo. Here’s what he told us:
- “For preparation to do it quickly on dry hair, I use Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Dry Shampoo, mainly on the crown and a bit on the nap and massage the scalp and the hair. By doing that, it’s going to give volume and statue. Then I use a little bit of Oscar Blandi Acqua Marina Styling Gel palm aid in my hand and push the hair all back.”
- “Put on a hook elastic, which is very easy to put around hair. Then twist the bun and secure it with bobby pins underneath the nap of the hair.”
- “The palm aid does the final job by making it look polished and taking away flyaways without a lot of hair spray.”
- “Place the bun with the bone structure of the face and see where the better location of the face. For round faces, do it higher to elongate and slim the face. For heart-shaped faces, do it more at the nape to soften the face. For square shaped faces, do it high and pull some hair forward or out to soften it.”
