Ben Affleck is the low man on the totem pole in his household. But he wouldn’t have it any other way.
The star and director of The Town has been making the media rounds and on today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show he chats mostly about his wife Jennifer Garner and their two daughters Violet, 4, and Seraphina, 20 months.
“I just know what it’s like to be a serf that just does things,” the actor, 38, told Ellen.
“When one of the vassals comes and points at something … I take orders from people that cannot speak. And yet still they are higher up on the food chain than I am.”
As the only man in the house, Ben just doesn’t stand a chance.
“I have three women in the house. … I get to be wrong three times a day,” he joked. But he couldn’t be happier being the slave to three beautiful ladies.
“I am madly in love,” he says. “I have the best family.”
Things are pretty good overall for the Oscar winner. Gorgeous wife, gorgeous kids, good buzz for his next film, who cares if he doesn’t exactly wear the pants in his household.
“I could not be luckier,” Affleck says. “I really have come right to the place where I was supposed to be. … You’ve got to knock wood. I’ve gone around and I’ve taken some rights and lefts and found myself at a place that is really wonderful, and that I’m really grateful for.”
