OMG! If Tom HAD gotten hurt yesterday, he may not have been able to sign his big bucks contract with the New England Patriots – literally! The NFL star was en route to ink his deal when his accident occurred!
Bostonians breathed a collective sigh of relief yesterday when they discovered that their hometown hero, Tom Brady, was safe from harm after another car ran a red light and crashed into his Audi sedan. But no one was happier to be OK than Tom himself — especially because any injury might have prevented the 33-year-old quarterback from finalizing a $72 million deal with his football team, the New England Patriots!
“Tom wasn’t just on his way to practice when the accident happened [as reported], but he was also going to Gillette Stadium’s practice facility to finalize his deal!” a Patriots insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Tom’s contract becomes official today [Sept. 10] and now he can really put his focus on Sunday’s game [against Chad Ochocinco's team, the Cincinnati Bengals].”
The deal in question: a reported $72 million which guarantees Gisele Bundchen‘s hot hubby at least $48.5 million, depending on whether or not he meets all incentives, like reaching a certain amount of yards, touchdowns or goals in a season.
All we can say is – wow. Way to rebound, Tom!
