We’re so happy Michael is doing well in his battle with Stage IV throat cancer.
Isn’t this terrific news? We were so sad to learn that Wallstreet 2: Money Never Sleeps star Michael Douglas, 65, had Stage IV throat cancer, but in a new interview, he says he’s doing well. “I like my odds,” he tells USA Today. “The tumor is shrinking. The odds are good.”
Maybe one of the reasons Michael is doing so well is that he refuses to let his condition get him down. He’s trying to stay out of the spotlight, instead relaxing at his Upper West Side apartment with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 40, and his children Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7.
In fact, Michael’s even thinking about following in the footsteps of Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie. No, he’s not planning on adopting children from all over the world — he’s toying with the idea of taking his family and traveling all over the world!
“[We'd] take off for a year and home-school the kids and just travel all around for a while,” he tells the paper.
“There’s never a really great time for cancer, but this is one for the books,” he says. “Actually I was doing really good, but today has not been great.”
