Rumors have swirled that the Biggest Loser has been on the hunt for new trainers, but one executive producer tells HollywoodLife.com that Bob and Jillian aren’t going anywhere…yet.
We almost cried when we saw casting calls for new trainers on the Biggest Loser last spring. Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels are our favorite parts of NBC’s hit weight loss reality show -– and we couldn’t fathom why they’d ever be replaced. Thankfully, the record was set straight when HollywoodLife.com chatted with executive producer Mark Koops!
“It’s not something we’re doing in this upcoming fall season, but it’s something that’s likely to be on the horizon,” Koops told us Sept. 10. “It’s a continuing search and as we think about what the show [should] become and move forward, [new trainers are] something we consider.”
Ugh! Throughout the last nine seasons, we’ve bonded with trainers Bob and Jillian so much, we can’t imagine our favorite weight loss show without them. However, we WOULD be open to seeing more trainers in the mix — something that Koops says is a possibility.
“Everything is on the table as far as how we continue to stay relevant,” he said, explaining, “As we look across the training world, there are just some incredible people doing incredible things.”
Watch Bob and Jillian kick butts into shape on the 10th season of the Biggest Loser, which premieres Sept. 21 on NBC…are YOU ready to be inspired?
