You can breathe easy, Gisele! Your husband walked away unscathed after a driver ran a red light this morning in Boston!

After making her triumphant return to the runway Sept. 7 at Fashion’s Night Out, Gisele Bundchen was primed to have an amazing week. Unfortunately, while the Brazilian supermodel was strutting her stuff, her husband wasn’t faring as well – Tom Brady got into a car accident this morning, Sept. 9! OH NO!

Luckily, the 33-year-old Boston Patriots quarterback is going to be OK after his Audi sedan was hit by a minivan that had a run a red light three blocks away from his Boston home at 6:30 A.M. “Patriots QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning. He was not hospitalized and is expected at Gillette Stadium today,” the team’s official statement on Facebook and Twitter read.

Sadly, the other drive wasn’t as lucky — after being removed from his car with the jaws of life, he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

“It was just really high-impact, you could tell. The front of the Audi was off,” said one on-looker.

Tom is still expected at football practice later today…what a trooper! He and Gisele truly are blessed people!

When I read this on-line this morning the first thing that came to mind was John Lennon’s quote, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans.” He and his model wife are building (from scratch) a $22 million (or more) mega-mansion in California. As far as I am aware, there is one child and perhaps a few relatives who live with them at the present time. He is in the iffy-ist profession in the world. Professional football. On any given Sunday he can have an accident that ends his career forever. She isn’t going to be young and thin forever. It always amazes me when people in the fluffiest professions like theirs spend millions of bucks without looking at the future when they have little to no money coming in. Sad. Glad he’s OK but I do hope it was a wake-up call to him that everything can change in an instant. Woops! Someone is firing a pistol outside my window! Ah, life in West Harlem!
