Want to look sculpted but elegant like the True Blood star? Give this ‘do a try!
With bed head reigning supreme on the Emmys red carpet, updos took a decidedly more sculptural and textured edge. One of the best of the best updos of the night belonged to Anna Paquin, who worked with Frederic Fekkai stylist Renato Campora to create a hair look that would compliment her edgy Alexander McQueen gown. Here’s the lowdown on how to get the hair created especially for the True Blood star:
- Starting with Anna’s wet hair, Campara applied Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip to the roots and the Fekkai Coiff Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Crème liberally throughout her hair
- Once her hair was dry, he used a ½” curling iron and set her hair in pin curls. After 15 minutes, he removed the pins and used his fingers to gently shake and loosen the curls, creating a gently-textured shape
- He then pulled her hair back into a high French twist and secured the style with bobby pins
- In order to create volume, Campora used his fingers to gently loosen her hair at the crown of her head, resulting in a softer, yet ultimately glamorous style. He finished the look with Fekkai Advanced Sheer Hold Hairspray.
