Turn them all into Mad Men when you step out in this timeless beauty look!

Another winning beauty look at the Primetime 2010 Emmy awards? Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, who wowed with her classic makeup look, created by celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali. Inspired by The Great Gatsby’s Daisy Buchanan, I’d say the results were spectacular. Here’s how Vanessa achieved Christina’s homage to timeless beauty:

Hello! Christina Hendricks, Supporting Actress nominee for her role in “Mad Men,” was ethereal and stunning at tonight’s Emmy Awards. Clad in a lilac Zac Posen gown, with her signature red hair flowing, Christina’s makeup was inspired by Mia Farrow’s iconic character from “The Great Gatsby.” Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali gave us a call from the Emmys to give us the details on Christina’s look:
Inspiration:
Mia Farrow’s Daisy Buchanan from “The Great Gatsby”
Face:
Vanessa prepped the skin with Lancôme’s La Base Pro. To perfect Christina’s already luminous skin, Vanessa used Lancôme’s new Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Makeup. “It has an amazing transparent quality that leaves the skin looking flawless and luminous without being shiny,” said Vanessa. “I applied it with a brush and then blended with my fingers.” Blending with her fingers heated up the foundation a bit, allowing for a seamless finish. Vanessa followed with Effacernes Concealer under the eyes, her “all time favorite concealer.”
Cheeks:
For a fresh pop of color I used Lancôme’s Blush Subtil Shimmer in Pink Pool on the apples of her cheeks. Dabs of Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Fluid Sheer #2 highlighted Christina’s cheekbones.
Eyes
The eye shadow was mix of YSL’s Ombre Solo Eyeshadow in Cashmere Brown and Midnight Black. “I applied these all over her lid, under the bottom lashes and blended it out past her natural lash line to softly elongate the eye,” reported Vanessa.
Eye Liner:
To define and elongate the lash line, Vanessa lined the eyes with Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black. “I used a touch of liner under her bottom lashes but smudged it for a softer look,” said Vanessa.  For added depth, Vanessa used Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir at the very base of Christina’s lashes.
Mascara:
Several generous coats of Lancôme Définicils Waterproof Mascara in Black were used on the top and bottom lashes.
Lips:
Christina’s lips were a mix of Lancôme lip colors for an effect that Vanessa described as “red with a little dash of pink.” A sheer coat of Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset was topped by La Laque Fever Lipshine in Cyber Coral.

Christina’s already-luminous skin was prepped with Lancôme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer to create a hydrated platform for the look, with the makeup artist then adding Lancôme Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Makeup with her fingers for a seamless finish. “It has an amazing transparent quality that leaves the skin looking flawless and luminous without being shiny,” said the makeup artist. Vanessa followed with Lancôme Effacernes Concealer under the eyes.

The makeup artist then used Lancôme Blush Subtil Shimmer in Pink Pool on the apples of her cheeks and tiny dabs of Giorgio Armani Beauty Fluid Sheer #2 were used to highlight Christina’s cheekbones.

Vanessa then used a mix of Yves Saint Laurent Ombre Solo Eyeshadows in Cashmere Brown and Midnight Black on Christina’s eyes. “I applied these all over her lid, under the bottom lashes and blended it out past her natural lash line to softly elongate the eye,” said the makeup artist.  She lined Christina’s eyes with Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black and gently smudged the line under her bottom lashes for a softer look.  She then added Lancôme Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir at the very base of Christina’s lashes to give her eyes dramatic depth and used several coats of Lancôme Définicils Waterproof Mascara in Black on both her top and bottom lashes.

The color on Christina’s lips was a coat of Lancôme Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset, topped with a sheer wash of  Lancôme La Laque Fever Lipshine in Cyber Coral. The result was a gorgeous “red with a little dash of pink.”

One thing is for certain: this timeless beauty look will never go out of style. Mad Men could be off the air years from now and we’ll still remember this ageless makeup look and the beautiful star who wore it. Ladies, trust me: give this look a go the next time you need to look effortlessly, timelessly gorgeous. You won’t be disappointed.
