Are The 'Real Housewives Of New York City' On Strike For More Cash?

It looks like the ladies of New York are reluctant to return to their hit Bravo show until the network shows them just as much money as the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast is getting from MTV!

The reality stars of The Real Housewives of New York have become very quiet recently about whether or not they would be returning for another season of the hit show, and now it looks like we know why — they are all holding out for more money! The New York Post reports, “While the cast has been asked back for Season 4, they won’t commit to Bravo unless they get Jersey Shore-style contracts.” Maybe they should try more fist pumping and boardwalk drinking to drum up their audience!

A source goes on to say, “The ladies are upset because they are making a lot less than Snooki. They’ve got a lot more to say.”

Snooki earns about $30,000 for each episode of Jersey Shore while the Housewives earn about $4,000. Ouch!

It is uncertain who will return, though Kelly Bensimon has said she is incredibly happy to be on the show and is thrilled with Bravo. Given her inability to carry a coherent conversation however, one must assume there is little to no chance the woman could carry a show.
