In the battle of the comedies, which brand new hit show will win the most Emmys? Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Glee‘s Romy Rosemont tell us about the biggest rivalry of the weekend!
With several Primetime Emmy nominations between both of them, Fox’s Glee and ABC’s Modern Family are neck in neck to win the award for Outstanding Comedy this Sunday — and their respective cast members are gearing up for the biggest rivalry of the weekend!
“Glee seems to be doing very well this year, so it’s probably our biggest competition,” Jesse Tyler Ferguson — who’s nominated for an Emmy for his role in Modern Family — dished exclusively to HollywoodLife.com at Debbie Durkin’s 4th Annual Eco-Emmys Celebrity Chateau Aug. 27. “It’s a show that I love watching as well. However it pans out, it’s pretty awesome…they are two cool, new shows.”
Minutes later, Glee‘s Romy Rosemonst (she plays Finn’s mom) told us she had the same concern about Modern Family taking home Outstanding Comedy!
“I would probably say Modern Family. We are huge, huge huge fans of the show,” she said. “I think Modern Family is brilliant. All of those actors are so unbelievably gifted and hilarious and the writing and everything…”
But then she got down to business. “But I think Glee stands on its own,” the actress said, with a mischievous smile. “I think it struck a cord. It’s not bloody, it’s not gory. It’s fun.”
