Danielle may divide many viewers, but as the season finale showed, she is all the other housewives ever talk about and definitely brings the drama! Would you even watch the show without her?
Love her or hate her, Danielle Staub has for the past two seasons remained the only real reason to watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey, as was clearly evident during the season finale on Aug. 23. In the episode’s ultimate showdown, Danielle faced off with Caroline Manzo and, while no tables were thrown, Danielle proved she could hold her own against the firey matriarch while also being a complete hypocrite!
Little to nothing came out of the fight, but Caroline struck first with a terrific observation — while Ashley was wrong in attacking Danielle, Danielle has frequently gone after the children of the other housewives, something they have never done to her daughters. In addition to the Ashley drama, it was also reported Danielle had called child services on former cast mate and Caroline’s sister Dina Manzo to have her daughter removed. That is pretty low!
The other MAJOR gaffe Danielle made was when she said she would not take responsibility for her friends shouting a homophobic slur at Caroline’s son Christopher. Not only is this an amazing statement from the woman who claims to be so in tune with gay people, it also contradicts the entire last season where she attacked everyone for Teresa Giudice‘s husband Joe making a similar comment. And his slur, while still unacceptable, wasn’t even directed at one of the cast member’s children!
The truth is, Danielle makes great television and while she is a constant source of annoyance to all the other women, she clearly makes the show worth watching!
On another note, Danielle and Caroline both looked gorgeous in their final scene. No matter whose side you are on, both women are looking better than ever!
So HollywoodLifers, what did you think of last night’s episode and would you watch the show if Danielle was gone?
