Jennifer Aniston's Film 'The Switch' Totally Flops with $8.1 Mil Opening Weekend — Angelina Jolie's 'Salt' Made 4 Times That!

Jen’s latest flick ‘The Switch’ makes less than $10 million this weekend, whereas Angelina’s ‘Salt’ made over $36 million its first weekend! Looks like Angie is pulling ahead in the battle of the box office babes!

Jennifer Aniston is going to have a rough weekend it appears — her latest film The Switch is only expected to make $8 million at the box office this weekend! Our sister site Deadline Hollywood reports that once again The Expendables will take control of the weekend box office with $15 million, followed close behind by the new Twilight spoof Vampires Suck with $12 million. Jen’s new flick will fall into 7th place meanwhile. Uh-oh!

Jen’s disappointing box office performance comes just weeks after nemesis Angelina Jolie guided her latest film Salt to a very respectable $36 million at the box office. The flick has currently made over $100 million in the United States alone!

It looks like Jen better hope her latest film has a long life at the box office or great word of mouth, otherwise she has another flop on her hands!

Why would anybody go to the movies to see Rachel if we can watch it for free on TV–see the Friends re-runs at night? Same hair, same acting and same movies…there is no way she can get my family to see her movies…they all say bad Rachel acting. Enough with the pity party…stop coattailing the Brad/Angie thing–it has been 6 years. Now it’s time to have your own success on your own merit not PR gimmicks with the fake boyfriend/co-stars, naked on magazine covers, etc…enough, get some acting class and do something with that face/hair. So what you don’t have the best looking face…own it and stop hiding behind your hair!

I think Angelina is a better person than Jen. Angelina always remembers to share the wealth with those less fortunate. She’s been doing 10 yrs of charity, while Jen can’t even remember that you don’t use the “r” word anymore since it’s offensive to the mentally challenged. Jen spends her spare time tanning, at the salon, at the spa, etc. When have you even seen her do anything for anyone but herself? And writing a small check means nothing to someone with 110 million to her name. She could actually do something, spend time or do more. But, it’s all ME, ME, ME.

Yup Salt made over $100 million dollars domestically & will surpass $250 million dollars overseas! Angelina is a handful of ladies who can pull off action movies around the world, honestly, it’s almost unheard of. Angie is fearless & can do anything. Jen should change her name to Rachel every time she makes a film her roles are boring and monotonous she is not able to do other roles.
Angelina is an excellent actress she can go from crazy to a super worried mother to a Russian agent.

Since when has Bonnie loved Angelina and hated Jennifer? In 99% of the Angelina stories Bonnie bashes her. In 99.99% of Jennifer stories Bonnie can’t stop saying how perfect Jennifer is. Everybody knew this was a bomb. The Switch isn’t an indie film. Indies don’t open in wide release. They start out in a few hundred theatres than go wide if the movie is a success. I don’t know The Switch’s budget but I can’t imagine $16 million, probably twice that. Also studios don’t spend so much money promoting an independent film. I have to laugh that people are calling Salt a bomb. It’s about to hit $200 million and was just released to major markets in Europe and South America this week.

Jen has her friends vote for her in any internet poll there is so she looks as if she’s the favorite between her and Jolie. Jolie just ignores her/it, good for her. it’s apparent the public isn’t fascinated by this talentless bore. All of her friends seems dull also and just like Jen need to talk about aothers to keep themselves in the news. the latest stunt was very clear. jen thinks Brad belongs to her alright and so do her weak minded friends. he movies suck. It’s about time people see that the real Jen is a bore and empty suit. She should go into fashion since she’s good at putting on a show. She has no passion, lacks charisma, is uneducated, dull and useless. She has held on to Brad and Anjie for too long and needs to go away.

Brad is lucky to have found Anjie who gave him the love he now has, and for having rescued him from what I’m guessing the dullest, most boring relationship there was.

It’s budget was 16 million per The Hollywood Reporter.So it made half it’s budget back in the first 3 days. It was a terrific Indie movie. Bonnie you need to learn the difference between a big budgeted movie -Salt- and an Indie-The Switch.

The $16 mil figure is a LIE perpetuated by Huvane to try to save her a$$. They REFUSE to publish the production budget. Why? When they reported her earnings to Forbes to try to get her on the highest paid list, they claimed she made $8 mil for this bomb. If you are now contending the entire budget was $16m that means Bateman, Goldblum, Lewis ALL OTHER cast and a UNION CREW on a UNION shoot, all sets, costumes, equipment EVERYTHING would have had to cost only $8 more. That’s LUDICROUS. There were TWO directors on this film, that’s $2 mil right there, plus another $2-3 mil for Bateman and $2 for Goldblum. Where’s the rest of the money for everythign else? So stop LYING to try to redeem this VILE B!TCH. Her film BOMBED because she called used a word destructive to special needs children and refused to apologize, so she derserves all of the PUBLIC CONTEMPT she is receiving.

“The Switch” represents the first Miramax pic to bow since Disney agreed to sell the specialty unit, whose new owners will cover prints and advertising costs on the release once the transaction with Disney closes later this year.

Mandate sold off various territorial rights after producing “The Switch” for roughly $16 million. Disney and Maple Releasing will get unspecified distribution fees for handling the pic for Miramax in the U.S. and Canada, respectively.

Rated PG-13, “The Switch” skewed 65% female, with 72% of patrons aged 25 or older. Couples represented 84% of pic support.

“It performed right as expected,” Disney distribution president Chuck Viane said.
