After making $216-million in worldwide box office sales in only one month, experts tell HollywoodLife.com there should — without a doubt — be an entire Salt franchise!

Once again, Angelina Jolie has proven she’s box office gold…especially when it comes to action movies. Since hitting US theaters July 19, her latest flick, Salt, has racked up a whopping $216-million in worldwide ticket sales — already surpassing The Bourne Identity (which made $214 million in 2002), and ensuring Hollywood insiders that Sony would be crazy NOT to turn the action film into an entire series.

“They should ABSOLUTELY turn Salt into a franchise like the Bourne series,” longtime producer, actor and writer Ric Reitz tells HollywoodLife.com. “It’s an action-adventure film with a female lead, which is rare. You combine that kind of mega star power with it being well-conceived and produced, and that’s an unbeatable combination. It’s a gold mine!”

Producer and casting director, Lauren Lloyd, agrees 31-year-old Angelina Jolie has the “it” factor that will make audiences flock to movie theaters to buy tickets.

“She’s the best, most interesting and compelling star there is today,” Lauren — who is also the creator of Big Is Good TV — explains. “She’s so interesting to watch. Every move she makes feels true. Boys, beware! Angelina is a wonderful actress and completely gorgeous to watch…she’s badass.”

According to the LA Times, Sony executives have been waiting to see if Salt makes enough money to warrant a sequel, which it seemingly has at this point. Angelina has also said she’s completely on board with a Salt series.

“I hope so, for everybody—if they want to see more of Salt,” she said at the film’s London premiere Aug. 16. “I love doing action. I love to punch things, jump off things and shoot…so I’m lucky I got the job.”

Because of the film’s tough physical nature, Reitz thinks Angie should start making sequels sooner, rather than later.

“If she’s not planning on expanding her family anytime soon, now might be a good time,” he explains, adding, “It just gets more difficult to do stunts the older you get.”

Thankfully, since wrapping The Tourist with Johnny Depp, Angelina is only rumored to be attached to certain projects and has no new films in the hopper…so perhaps a Salt sequel isn’t that far off. Do YOU want to see more of Evelyn Salt?

Kudos to Angelina! She totally broke the bank with her leading performance in an action movie AGAIN! She not only holds her own in Salt against other hollywood action male stars but she owns it. Are you listening Sylvester Stallone, the next Expendables should have Jolie front & center. Angie’s awesome & recently is one of few to contribute to the Pakistan disaster. God is smiling down on her & blessing her. She’s made the most of her past mistakes into being a remarkable person. Jen Aniston can’t even hold a candle to her career. Angelina = Awesome. Aniston = Awful.

I thought SALT was an incredible film on many levels. Angelina was at the top of her game in this one. I would most definitely see the next one. And the one after that, if there is a third one. As an aside, I just read a review of the book (not out in the US yet) about the lives and loves of Vivien Leigh and her husband, Sir. Laurence Olivier. As I was reading it I thought, ‘Holy cow! This could be Angelina and Brad!’ Surely hope not. They both cheated on each other like crazy. She was wild and kinky. (Who knew?!) Of course we know how it ended. She went insane. History does repeat itself, doesn’t it?

It’s Karma Baby!!

Live a life where you work hard, build a loving family with your mate, have respect for your craft, challenge yourself with difficult roles, SHARE YOUR WEALTH and good fortune with the less fortunate, and the universe will reward you with a stellar career. Conversely, be a self-absorbed, egotistical (never apologized for her “retard” remark), ungrateful, LAZY performer who plays the same role over and over while wallowing in self-pity and your fat bank account and never EVER using your money to help those in need, and eventually your career will topple. THAT is the difference between Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston. Each woman is getting exactly what she deserves.

I would see each and every Salt sequel, and every other film that Jolie appears in. She is a superior actress who clearly loves her craft.
