It really is a dog’s life! The Obamas’ Portugese water dog has had a busy season and has traveled to places and seen things other dogs can only dream of!
What a life Bo Obama leads! The President’s dog not only lives at one of the world’s most prestigious addresses, he also gets to attend cool events and travel all over the country like a rock star. This summer, especially, Bo’s clocked plenty of frequent flyer points and he’s seen and done more things than most of us have!
Aside from the usual trip to the President’s home town of Chicago, there was a picnic for the members of Congress and, of course, he accompanied the Obamas on their mid-summer vacation to the coast of Maine. While in Maine, Bo got to experience the spectacular beauty of Acadia National Park, right outside of Bar Harbor, home to some of the best lobster you can find (whether Bo sampled the local fare, we can’t say, but we imagine Sasha might have slipped him a few tasty morsels under the dinner table).
Just yesterday, Bo hitched a ride out to Cape Cod and Vineyard Haven, where President Obama, first lady Michelle, Malia, 12, and Sasha, 9, are vacationing until the end of the month.
While we don’t think Bo realizes he’s getting VIP treatment, we’re guessing he enjoys traveling on Air Force One. Who wouldn’t, right? It totally beats traveling in a cage in the cargo hold!
