OUCH! Today’s Hottest Band, Kings Of Leon, Think They’re Too Cool To Do ‘Glee!’

Glee doesn’t hear “no” very often, but the Kings of Leon boys say they have zero interest in being a part of TV’s golden show…awkward!

Glee is without a doubt one of the most popular shows in the country and has the 19 Emmy nominations to prove it. That doesn’t mean much to hot rock band the Kings of Leon though — they’d don’t want their songs to appear on the hit Fox show!

Kings bassist Jared Followill admits that he and the band turned down an offer to have their music appear on the show because they didn’t want to be sellouts! “We could have sold out so much more. We turn stuff down constantly,” he told told UK magazine NME. “We got an offer to appear on an episode of Ugly Betty. They wanted us to play ourselves. We were supposed to come in and help her out with some problem or other.”

He adds that having his indie band appear on the uber-popular show might have hurt ticket sales from REAL fans. Do you agree? What Kings of Leon song do you wish you could hear on Glee?

They have every right not to have their songs on glee or any other show it’s their music and it’s about their music, not yours I think it’s remarkable and awesome of them to want to keep their true fans rather than having random people just show up cuz they saw it on some show. Their music isn’t popish like all the songs on glee are.

It’s preserving their musical integrity not big headedness. I love their songs and I loved them before everyone jumped on their sacks. It’s real music not like that crap you hear nowadays.

Glee should ask drake I bet he’d be excited….

It’s their music. They can do what they want with it. Suck it, Glee.

this is sooooo stupid!!! having your song on glee doesnt make you a sell out. you sell out by over charging your stuff, writing songs that play everywhere and that is sooo easy to listen to, and not staying true to yourself. having youre song on a hit show like glee would be an honor. for example, hanson, yes hanson. i love them and i bet they would be thrilled to have their songs on glee. even mmmbop. and are they sellouts? HELL NO!!! they turned down may things!!! they control their own destiny. glee is too cool to have people that refuse their songs. it should be considered a blessing that they would WANT to do your song. but hey i dont like them anyway.

I kind of feel like if they don’t want their music on GLEE, then I don’t want to hear their music on GLEE. It annoys me when people act like that and start talking about being ‘sellouts’. Please…get over yourselves.
