Don’t worry, Kanye isn’t going to hurt the Biebster’s image when they perform together at the VMA’s this year. Image expert Michael Sands says that the collaboration will be mutually beneficial for both artists!
When Kanye West and Justin Bieber are going to make beautiful music when they perform together at MTV’s 2010 Video Music Awards Sept. 12. In fact, Los Angeles-based image expert Michael Sands says the collaboration will work so well that it will help both Kanye AND Justin’s careers!
“Justin Bieber is the world’s heartthrob, but hanging out with Kanye might give him some street cred,” Sands tells HollywoodLife.com, adding, “He’ll be seen as a little tougher.”
Sands admits that the 16-year-old singing sensation isn’t the only one reaping in benefits from this highly publicized performance. Kanye, 33, still hasn’t fully redeemed himself after last year’s VMAs, where he famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech and made himself an internationally hated man…so joining forces with the hottest guy in town can only help his image and increase his power.
“Not only is he still making up for last year’s stint, nothing’s really happened with Kanye in terms of music lately,” Sands says, noting that the rapper’s 2010 BET performance was his first step back onto “the scene.”
“Kanye is not as big as he used to be, so working with the most popular kid in the world is a smart move. He’s very business savvy.”
