Hilary’s trainer Harley Pasternak lets us know how he got her in shape for her big day and gives us some tips on how to firm up!
For her wedding to Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff decided to kick her workouts up a gear by working out even harder with her celeb trainer, Harley Pasternak. Harley spoke with HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about how he helped the already in shape starlet tone up and lose a few extra pounds for her big day! Harley explains, “She does the 5 factor workout, which is workout made of 5 phases. To start, I have her do a cardio warm up, like a light jog or jumping rope. Then she moves into circuit of upper body lower body and abdominals.”
Hilary’s workouts begin and end with cardio, and the length was slightly increased leading up to her wedding to get her in even better shape. “Before she did a 5 min cardio warm up and cool down now she’ll do 10-15 before and 10-15 after,” Harley says.
As for the circuits, they each include 25 reps, followed by ANOTHER 25 reps.
And if one thinks these more hardcore workouts allow Hilary to eat whatever she wants, think again! “She’s on the 5 factor diet. 5 meals a day- breakfast snack lunch snack dinner. The diet has really simple criteria – low fat protein healthy carb, healthy fat, fiber, sugar free beverage like fuze slenderize, vitamin water, smart water – something with no extra sugar or calories,” Harley explains.
It is not all bad however as the actress is allowed one day to cheat during the week and eat whatever she wants.
It seems like a lot of work but recent photos of Hilary show it is all paying off! Harley agrees as well, saying the actress looks “fantastic.”
