Was he overworked, insane — or a model for all of us?
Steven Slater, the 38-year-old flight attendant who had an even more memorable exit than Jerry Maguire — MUCH more — has been released from jail on $2,500 bond. After being hit on the head by a passenger’s bag during taxi back to the runway in JFK airport, this flight attendant snapped grabbing the intercom, cursing out the flight, grabbing a beer and then making his exit out of the emergency slide.

The aspect of this story I don’t understand is, why is the media protecting the identity of the selfish, entitled woman who started this mess? Is she someone famous? Married to someone connected to NYC politics? Had she not acted in the manner she did, none of this would have happened. And yes, I went all Joan Crawford on more than one employer’s a– in my 48 years of employment. A human being endures just so much pain and then their body/mind/spirit cannot endure another second of it and they snap. He did not hit her, which would have rendered him not only unemployable for life, but not the sympathetic figure he has become. I want to know who this woman was. She probably treats everyone like they are her servants in everyday life. Who is she?!! Enquiring minds want to know.
