We can’t help but wonder if Mary-Kate and Ashley have turned their backs on their Full House family.
It’s been 15 years since Full House ended, but Candace Cameron Bure tells HollywoodLife.com that she still stays in touch with her old castmates, with one notable exception — Candace, who played the oldest Tanner child, D.J., doesn’t talk to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played her little sister, Michelle.
“I haven’t talked to them in years,” Candace, who stars in the ABC Family show Make It Or Break It, confessed during a conference call promoting the Juice Box 30 Year Anniversary.
Yet the mom of Natasha, 11, Lev, 10, and Maksim, 6, admits that she is still in touch with Jodie Sweetin, who played middle sister Stephanie and is pregnant with her second child. “I saw Jodie not too long ago at Bob Saget‘s birthday,” Candace said. “She was doing great!”
Candace, 34, didn’t dish on what caused the cool down with the Olsen twins, but we’re guessing it has something to do with Mary-Kate’s admission that she doesn’t look back fondly on her child star days.
The 24-year-old says in the new issue of Marie Claire that she and her sister Ashley were “little monkey performers” and revealed that when she looks back at old photos of herself from her Full House days, “I don’t feel connected to them at all.”
“I would never wish my upbringing on anyone,” MK says. Ouch!
Whatever happened between Candace and the Olsens, we hope they can work it out — and keep our hopes for a Full House reunion alive!
