Have you heard Taylor’s new song? If so, tell us what you think — is it a hit?

It looks like Taylor Swift has another hit on her hands! Her new single, “Mine” was released today, Aug. 5, two weeks earlier than planned – and here’s the crazy reason why!

After a bootleg version emerged online, Taylor’s record company, Big Machine, decided to release the real version early. And, within hours, “Mine” reached number 1 on the  iTunes’ Top Songs list!

“I landed in Japan and got 20 texts and looked at iTunes and got tears in my eyes,” Taylor tweeted along with a screen grab of her song at number 1 on iTunes. “And so, we begin again. :)”

“Mine” is part of Taylor’s new album Speak Now is scheduled to be release Oct. 25.
