The former American Idol judge tweeted a cryptic quote from the former British Prime Minister this week.

Now Paula’s fans are all a twitter that the quote could mean an impending return to American Idol next season. What was the quote and what could it mean?

Paula tweeted, “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to put its pants on.”

She followed up the Churchill tweet with a quote from psychologist and philosopher William James, saying, “A new idea is first condemned as ridiculous & then dismissed as trivial, until finally it becomes what everybody knows.”

Oh Paula! What does it all mean?

Amidst chatter that former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe could be signing a deal to return to Fox’s reality competition AND Lythgoe’s previous comments that he believes the perfect Idol reboot will consist of Usher, Elton John, and Paula Abdul, fans are wondering whether this is Paula’s way of preparing us for her return.

In the mean time Paula is in the process of casting her new CBS dance-competition program. But that doesn’t mean she couldn’t don another hat and return to Idol.

What do you think Paula’s tweets mean?

I am impressed that Paula used a famous Churchill quote.
If Paula is looking for more info on Churchill she could do worse than have a read of my newly published book. Winston Churchill – An American Idol. It takes his talents for managing WW2 and applies them to modern business
