Taylor’s gone, Rodg gets a new job & Rach runs away from a mouse!

After a long hiatus, The Rachel Zoe Project finally premiered on Bravo last night and while it was full of photo shoots, frocks, and even Demi Moore, I was a little let down. It could be because I hyped up the return, but the main component that was missing was Rachel’s former right hand, the eye-rolling, whining Taylor Jacobson. Who knew her constant complaints made the show so much better? I’m sure most of you tuned in to find out what really led to the split, but there was no grand exit — Taylor wasn’t on the show at all! We learned during a very stern sit down with the Zoe team, (would you expect anything less?), that Taylor has been let go from the company. Rachel reflects on her time with Tay, who was, “like family,” while her main man, (no, not Brad), Rodg, assumes a new role in the Zoe empire.

After dealing with Tay’s departure, the team pulls together for Demi Moore‘s shoot for Bazaar, which was styled by Rachel. In true Rachel fashion, the stylist was frenzied over a pair of Marc Jacobs bloomers that luckily arrived in the nick of time, however, most of the anxiety over the shoot was caused by the animals involved in the shoot, (although I wasn’t shocked that Rach had never worked with a giraffe before). The stylist, who never really struck me as an animal lover, was blown away by Demi’s ability to laugh while a mouse crawled through her hair. Rachel, on the other hand, quickly ran for cover behind the big bad Brad when the rodent was brought out for the shoot — although I can’t say I blame her!
