The star of The Other Guys is OK with the fact that he has tattoos, but when it comes to his four kids, it’s a case of “do as I say, not as I do.”
Mark Wahlberg has never been shy about his own tattoos, flashing them whenever he takes his shirt off (which is a lot, by the way!) and he is comfortable discussing them when someone asks about his body ink. But when HollywoodLife.com caught up with him at the New York premiere of his new film The Other Guys and asked the 39-year-old actor what he would say if one of his four kids ever wanted to get one? His answer was only two words: “Hell no!”
Hmmm… Four kids (Ella Rae, 7, Michael, 4, Brendan, 2, and Grace, 7 months, with wife Rhea Durham), four tattoos (Sylvester the Cat with Tweety Bird on his left ankle; Bob Marley on his left arm; “Wahlberg” superimposed over “MW,” along with his birthdate and his parents’ initials on his right arm; and a rosary tattoo around his neck), four best buddies on Entourage (the HBO hit he produces)… it seems the number four is pretty big in Mark’s life.
We’re not sure what that means, but we’re guessing that if he gets another tattoo, it’ll totally upset some mysterious cosmic balance. Here’s a word of advice, Mark: if you don’t get any more tattoos, it might end up saving the world — and it’ll be easier to tell your kids to stay ink free!
