The always opinionated singer weighs in on the controversial Arizona immigration bill during her concert in Phoenix!
Add Lady Gaga to the list of celebrities speaking out against the controversial Arizona bill SB 1070 aimed to curb immigration through racial profiling. The pop star took to the stage Saturday evening in Phoenix where she told fans, “If it wasn’t for all you immigrants, this country wouldn’t have shit!”
Gaga also addressed calls for her to boycott her show over the possible passage of the law, even from fellow musicians. “I will not cancel my show. I will hold you, and we will hold each other, and we will protest this state,” Gaga said. “I got a phone call from a couple really big rock-n-rollers, big pop stars, big rappers, and they said: ‘We’d like you to boycott Arizona. We’d like you to boycott playing Arizona because of SB 1070.’ And I said: ‘You really think that us dumb f—ing pop stars are going to collapse the economy of Arizona?’”
What do you think of Gaga’s impassioned speech HollywoodLifers?
