Seven months after his Christmas day dispute, the Two and a Half Men star pleaded guilty to third-degree domestic violence and walked away with what amounts to a slap on the wrist

Charlie Sheen’s domestic assault case is officially closed, and we’re in shock – the Two and a Half Men star walked away from this wreck of a situation with little more than a scratch! Not only is he not going to jail, but he’s heading back to work TOMORROW and is spending a mere 30 days in rehab!

The 44-year-old actor pleaded guilty to third-degree domestic violence for his Christmas day confrontation with estranged wife Brooke Mueller, reports E! News. He’ll be spending the next 30 days at the swanky rehab facility Promises in Malibu, California, where he’ll be working on “behavioral modification.”

“I’m very grateful to the court and to the people of Pitkin County,” Charlie said in a statement. “I look forward to complying with the court’s decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me.”

The 30 days Charlie is spending in rehab is a million times better than the 30 days he was meant to spend in an Aspen jail; his original deal was time in the slammer in exchange for the court dropping felony menacing and misdemeanor criminal mischief charges against him.

He will also have to undergo 36 hours of domestic violence and anger management counseling; he has 30 days until he has to check into rehab.

Still, you are one lucky guy, Charlie. Better not mess up again – you might not get off so easy next time…

quite frankly it’s no surprise, he was represented by the same woman who represented the “alleged” victim. And it’s well known that Brooke was really the one who was the problem in all this, she even changed her story quite often. The only reason he was charged with a felony in the first place is that’s because what it’s like in Aspen, if there’s any complaint. Not as straightforward as people think.
