Bellini, the baby furniture store to the stars, gives us a sneak peek at the furnishings the Real Houseswife chose for her daughter, Bryn.
“Little did I know that a baby could sleep in a shoebox if necessary,” Bethenny Frankel says today in her blog on People Moms & Babies. Luckily, it didn’t come to that, thanks to the people at Bellini, the baby furniture chain of stores that has outfitted nurseries for everyone including Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Usher and Sylvester Stallone.
With help from the Scarsdale store’s manager, Robyn Weinstein, Bethenny created a safari-themed room for her daughter, Bryn, that will grow along with her.
“We had a lot of fun picking out things,” says Robyn. “Bethenny was so sweet. She arrived at the store just after it closed and was here for an hour, and she tried out chairs and picked out things she loved with her decorator, Chuck.”
Among the items Bethenny picked out: an Alexander crib in Espresso that turns from crib to junior bed to full size bed (and has all-important stationary rails) ; a Jessica dresser; a slide-top changing table that is one of the store’s best-selling items and a glider and ottoman upholstered in super soft yellow chenille.
Bethenny opted to do the walls in soft butter yellow and Robyn says she chose the color orange for pops of color in the safari-themed room, which features painted canvases with monkeys, lions and giraffes along with a handpainted lamp, hamper and wastepaper basket, and a plush pink rocking sheep.
Fans of Bethenny Gets Married will have seen Robyn featured in an episode of the Bravo show a few weeks ago, when she did the needle test on Bethenny, in which you suspend a needle over a mom-to-be’s belly to determine whether she’s having a boy or a girl.
“I was right, says Robyn. “It was a girl!”
A very lucky girl based on what we’ve seen of her nursery!
