Leni no longer needs her mommy’s fashion sense — she’s developed one of her own!

Aww! Heidi Klum‘s oldest daughter Leni Samuel, 6, is getting to be a big girl now. She’s picking out her own outfits to wear every day without the help of her mommy!

“We actually moved everything to a level where she can reach it herself,” Heidi told HollywoodLife.com exclusively July 28 at the Project Runway season eight premiere party at the Empire Hotel in NYC. “You know that there are certain stages in life that they have to start doing things for themselves and I think that [it’s good] that she gets dressed by herself in the morning.”

“For school, it’s easier because she wears a uniform,” Heidi continued. “But when she has free dress, like they call it, then she can pick her own things.”

Just like her mom, Leni has developed a keen fashion sense. “She definitely has an interest in clothes,” Heidi told us. And even though Heidi “doesn’t know if Leni wants to be a designer” just yet, it would be very cool to see a mother-daughter design team form when Leni gets older.

Until then, Heidi keeps herself busy designing her own clothing line for pregnant women. “I roll out a few [collections] a few times a year so I’m constantly doing the maternity thing,” she told us.

And get this — Heidi may even be planning to add a new line of children’s clothes to her collection! “I love designing and with four children, I know what is needed and what is easy,” she explained. “Sometimes you wish you had that and that’s how ideas happen!”
