Some smooth skills you have, Joe Jonas. How can you try to woo the girl of your dreams if you don’t even treat her to lunch?
If Joe Jonas has as big a crush on Ashley Greene as has been reported, then he seriously needs to step up his game. When the 20-year-old singer went on an afternoon date with the Twilight starlet July 26 – their second this month – he didn’t even treat her to lunch!
“Joe and Ashley both paid individually,” an eyewitness at Los Feliz, Calif. restaurant The Alcove tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They had a moment of ‘let me get it, let me get it’ where they both reached to get the bill, but ended up paying their own way.”
Some manners, Joe! Your mother would NOT be impressed!
Over iced tea, juice and water, the two chatted and “seemed to be enjoying each other’s company” but there were no signs indicating the two seemed to be falling in love (or lust). “There was no hand-holding, no flirting, no closeness,” reports our insider. “They sat across from one another, not next to each other.
“At one point, he got up to go to the bathroom and she spent a good amount of time on her phone. She was actually on her phone texting quite a bit DURING the meal, too!”
Our eyewitnesses’ conclusion: “Sorry, but the search for love continues on, apparently!”
