Kristen’s hot new leading man says she’s perfect for the part of promiscuous road-tripper Marylou Moriarty in the big-screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic Beat Generation novel
You adored Kristen Stewart in the Twilight Saga films, loved her as Joan Jett in The Runaways and now, according to her latest co-star, you’re going to be absolutely obsessed with her after you see her in her latest flick, On the Road!
“She’s got it all there. She’s where she needs to be and further. She’s fantastic,” Garrett gushed to MTV News of his 20-year-old co-star. Kristen plays Marylou Moriarty – the promiscuous first wife of his drifter character, Dean – in the film, which is based on Jack Kerouac‘s iconic novel.
The 25-year-old Tron: Legacy actor also confirmed that On the Road’s month-long “beatnik boot camp” is underway in Montreal right now; the cast is preparing for the film’s August 2 start date by doing “intensive research with biographers” – and they’re having a blast!
“We’ve had wonderful times up there in Montreal. Just hoping to make a wonderful film that can fulfill everyone’s expectations of what this can actually be,” he explained. “The family that we’re surrounded by is wonderful and unbelievable and, for me, I’m kind of on cloud nine.”
