Miley sings about a break-up in her new single “Two More Lonely People”, while Justin sings about her “baby blue” eyes in his new song, “Daisy”
It’s a musical battle of the exes, and – dare we say it? – we prefer Justin Gaston’s new song to his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus’ recently released single!
Justin, 21, opens up his nine-month relationship with the former Hannah Montana starlet in “Daisy”, singing, “Her love was jaded but her kisses went down smooth; she was wearin’ my jacket, I’m still wearin’ her tattoo. She was beautiful a rebel without a cause, a rebel without a clue.”
As for Miley’s second single off her new album, Can’t Be Tamed, well, it sounds like a Kelly Clarkson ballad without Kelly’s voice. Yeah, kind of lame. The 17-year-old singer/actress – who is currently dating her The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth – sings about a near break-up.
“If I had to leave you now, there would be an empty space. It doesn’t matter anyhow, you can take your things, and go your own way,” she says in the first verse. “And there’s two more lonely people, in the world tonight, baby you and I are just two more lonely people who gave up the fight.”
It’s OK, but we’re still Team Justin on this one. It’s easier on the ears, and NO ONE should try to do improve upon Kelly Clarkson. It just can’t be done!
