The Public Information Office of the LA Superior court tells HollywoodLife.com that although he publicly professed it, Robert Shapiro was never working for Lindsay Lohan!
Lindsay Lohan’s life is such a hot mess that we didn’t bat an eyelash when Robert Shapiro, her lawyer of just three days, quit her case on July 19, the night before she went to jail. But guess what, BFFs? Although he publicly announced he was representing the hard-partying starlet on July 16, Robert was never officially Lindsay’s lawyer in the first place!
“Robert Shapiro was at no time the counsel on record that was again reiterated in court today by both Judge Revel and Shawn Chapman-Holley,” the PIO office of LA Superior told HollywoodLife.com exclusively July 20, adding, “[Shawn Chapman-Holley] never signed the substitution of attorney, so Shawn Chapman-Holley has and always was Lindsay’s counsel.”
Chapman-Holley explained Shapiro’s relation to the case during Lindsay’s pre-jail court appearance today, saying that he was a “consultant.”
