BFFs, just in case you thought you were too old for fairtytales– Nicolas Cage wants you to keep on believing! We spoke with The Sorcerer’s Apprentice star and he told us exclusively what inspires him and how to reach for the stars!
We caught up with Nicolas Cage, 46, at the premiere of his movie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, on July 6 and he gave us some inspiring advice. When it comes to following your dreams, Nicolas says you never know what can happen!
“You have to keep your imagination alive, can’t let people get that out of you,” Nicolas tells HollywoodLife.com. “I never stopped believing in magic.”
So we had to ask– where does a superstar like Nicolas get his “magical” inspiration?
“One of the greatest sources[of inspiration] would probably be my father. He was a teacher, professor of literature, he wasn’t interested in things like money,” says Nicolas. “What he was interested in was expanding young people’s minds.”
It doesn’t stop there, Nicolas compares his dad to his mystical character,Sorcerer Balthazar, in the film.
“That’s what I think the sorcerer does in this movie is trying to empower his apprentice and give him everything he is and then have faith in that,” says Nicolas. “So this is my homage to not only my father but to all teachers.”
Wow, sounds amazing! We can’t wait to see Nicolas battle the darkness in his new movie which is out in theaters now!

I LOVED the Sorcerers Apprentice! It was one of the best movies I’ve seen! I love all the movies Nicolas Cage was in but the Sorcerers Apprentice and Season of the Witch were by far the best!! I am a very big fan for Nick and hope to meet him some day!:) So what does he think about being on the set with Jay Baruchel?
