Bristol Palin claims she does not care what her mother’s reaction to her engagement will be, and it’s a good thing as Sarah seems less than thrilled!
Sarah Palin has responded to eldest daughter Bristol Palin‘s announcement she will be marrying past fiance, mother of her son, and former foe of the family Levi Johnston — and she does not seem very excited. “Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what’s best for our children,” Sarah said in a statement on Today. “Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.” Ouch!
For her part Bristol told US Weekly, “It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board.” Clearly Sarah’s approval is not very important to her!
Sarah famously chided Levi following his behavior and decision to pose in Playboy on Oprah earlier this year, referring to the young buck as “Ricky Hollywood.” For his part, Levi issued a public apology to the Palin family for his actions roughly two weeks ago — right when he and Bristol got engaged!
We are sure Sarah will have more to say about this.

For God’s sake Bonnie – get real! Really, when was this picture of Sarah taken anyway – certainly NOT when she got the news about Bristol. Is Sarah concerned? Probably – what good mother wouldn’t be but Sarah will respect Bristol’s decision. That’s the kind of person she is. Now, Bonnie, why don’t you start respecting the truth. I’m really sick of all your misleading headlines and confused and untrue print.
