It’s a good thing Ali hit off with Roberto and Chris’s families, because one of them will most likely be her in-laws!
Ali Fedotowsky finally met the parents of the remaining four guys on the June 12 episode of The Bachelorette! Despite her nerves, Ali hit it off with two families: 33 year-old Chris Lambton‘s and 26 year-old Roberto Martinez‘s! “I actually feel stronger about a few of the guys now than I did about Jake [Pavelka] then,” Ali confessed as she entered the rose ceremony!
The first hometown date went to Roberto. At the start, Roberto’s an ex-army ranger dad grilled Ali with a tough set of questions about her goals and how she plans on supporting her husband’s ambitions once she gets married. Though Ali admitted she wants to own her own business someday, she also said her family will most definitely come first: “For me the question would be first and foremost what’s best for our family.” She even said she’d like to go into business with her husband.
Ali’s explanation of her future plans made Robert’s dad more at ease with her. He was a tough cookie and it was obvious that if he didn’t like Ali, she would have been gone. ”That potentially could be his future daughter-in-law,” Roberto said of his dad meeting Ali. “It would make it very difficult to continue my relationship with her if my dad says she’s not right for me.” But thank goodness things went well, because Roberto is reportedly the one who wins the final rose.
Ali then went to Cape Cod, Ma., to meet Chris’ family, and they immediately took to her! His two brothers, two sister-in-laws and his dad explained to Ali their family philosophy: “Love is the only reality!” (I love this idea!)
Chris’ family lives by this slogan, and after Chris’ mom passed away last year, he appeared finally ready to open his heart again — this time to Ali. “Know what I’m pissed about? The fact that my brothers got to show off their future wives to Mom and I’m not going to,” Chris said. But, “you jump in with your whole heart,” he added, and ”Whenever I say her [Ali's] name, I feel so happy!” Aww!
Unfortunately, last night ended in tears for Kirk DeWindt as he was sent home at the rose ceremony. This leaves three standing men: Roberto, Chris and Frank Neuschaefer. And thank goodness next week is the big episode where Ali learns that Frank has a girlfriend back at home. She’ll finally send that loser home and be left with two great guys!

i have never seen anything other than big brother or friend with chris. i think she feels “safe” and protected with him, which is great b/c she feels vulnerable right now- but she is giddy and ga ga with roberto (in addition to safe). i almost wish chris has been sent home a long time ago b/c i like him so much and he’s so vulnerable and you just know he’s going to be devastated when she inevitably doesn’t choose him. maybe he’d be a good next bachelor though? he needs somebody simple like tenley.
