Lindsay Lohan’s 90-day jail sentence seems intense, but a lawyer who knows the judge personally tells HollywoodLife.com the starlet wasn’t treated unfairly
Although Lindsay Lohan sobbed like she lost a loved one when Judge Marsha Revel sentenced her to 90 days in jail, in addition to 90 days in rehab July 6, Los Angeles-based criminal lawyer Steve Cron assured HollywoodLife.com the 24-year-old starlet wasn’t given a harsher treatment just because she’s a celebrity.
“I personally have known [Judge Marsha Revel] and she’s a very tough judge. [In Lindsay], she sees somebody who has repeatedly flaunted the orders of the court and has multiple parole violations; I think she thought it was the proper sentence,” Cron — who’s defended many celebrity clients — said.
“Lindsay is not getting a better deal than anybody else. The jails in LA are really overcrowded. The general rule is that people are getting 25-50% of their sentencing. Needless to say, that is still a bitter pill for Lindsay Lohan to swallow.”
A bitter pill indeed. Not only does Lindsay have to report for her 90 day jail time July 20 at 8:30 a.m., the former Mean Girl is required to continue wearing her alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet in the meantime. After completing jail time, Lilo will head to a state-monitored rehab facility for another three months.
As Steve Cron aptly put it, “No matter how much or how little time Lindsay serves, this won’t be a walk in the park. “

I think it’s ridiculous this judge is putting her in jail after she’s been complying with this ankle bracelet. I (as a tax payer), don’t want my tax dollars spent on this petty crap. I think the judge is a media w****. And why is the media in the court room. The media should have been shut out, but the judge loves it. The judge is calling Lindsy in every two freakin days, this is not what my tax dollars is for JUDGE>>>>>use my tax dollars on a criminal.
