Rumors have swirled for months that Katie would be the newest person to invade McKinley High — and it looks like class is in session!

What would Dawson think? Katie Holmes is transferring from Capeside High to McKinley High…only this time she’ll be singing and dancing through the hallway.

“Katie is finalizing a deal to join the cast for a limited story line next season,” an insider told The National Enquirer. “Katie’s film career has stalled, and she’s desperately needs a career boost. She’s hoping a stint on Glee will jumpstart her standing in Hollywood.”

Through her friendship with The Romantics co-star 24-year-old Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray), Mrs. Tom Cruise has built a relationship with Glee creator Ryan Murphy that has now led to negotiations for Katie, 31, to appear in as many as five episodes in season two.
