Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green sneaked off to Hawaii and married on the sly last week — but they’ve been talking about “secretly” tying the knot for nearly four years!

Two engagements and four years later, Megan Fox and beau Brian Austin Green FINALLY tied the knot in Hawaii last week. But we have to ask, how did the hot couple “elope” when they’ve actually been talking about their intimate, unplanned ceremony for so many years?

“[The ceremony will be] small,” Brian, now 36, said of his nuptials in 2008. “Originally we were talking elopement and now we might have a few people there.”

Megan, 24, and her new hubby avoided all the media hype with a simple ceremony at The Four Seasons Hotel resort on the main island in Hawaii last week with only a handful of guests, which she alluded to doing during an interview with Access Hollywood at the Jonah Hex junket June 13.

“I just think, if you’re going to [get married,] if you’re going to be with someone and make a commitment, it’s good to tell the universe, to say I’m committing to this person and making them my family,” she explained. “I think there’s something respectable about that and if we were to do it, it would be for ourselves. It wouldn’t be for society.”

At the end of the day, we’re glad you got married for the right reasons…who really cares if it was secretly planned or not? Mazel tov!
